🚨 CALL TO ACTION: STOP HB 807 – Missouri’s Pregnancy Registry 🚨
Tomorrow, the Missouri House Committee on Children and Families will discuss HB 807, a bill being falsely branded as an adoption reform. In reality, this bill would create a government database tracking pregnant women who may seek an abortion.
Even conservative Missourians should be horrified by this extreme government overreach. The elected Republicans in Jefferson City need to hear from us—loud and often—that this is an invasion of privacy and a creepy, draconian measure aimed at intimidating citizens.
📢 Here’s how you can take action NOW:
📝 SUBMIT OFFICIAL TESTIMONY
Missourians are allowed to submit written testimony on this bill. If you want your voice on the record, now’s your chance. SAMPLE text:
“I am writing to strongly oppose HB 807, which would require the state to track pregnant women in a **government database**. This bill is a **blatant invasion of privacy, a government overreach, and a direct attack on Missourians' rights**.
Even those who oppose abortion should find this measure disturbing. The government has no place monitoring pregnant individuals, and such a database could easily be weaponized to intimidate, harass, or punish people based on their personal medical decisions.”
MAKE SURE YOU MARK OPPOSE - They tally for/against submissions!
Submit your testimony here. MAKE SURE TO CONFIRM YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS OR THEY WILL NOT COUNT IT.
